Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Course

Online Course

There are two eLearning Equality, Diversity & Inclusion programmes; one for staff and contractors, the other for managers and board members. These are similar in content but the managers programme has more of an emphasis on equality related responsibilities.

Each program’s five modules are continually updated with the latest law and good practice. They take account of the increasing number of social housing providers also providing adult care and satisfy the requirements of bodies such as the Regulator of Social Housing and the Care Quality Commission.

Those of you who have completed diversity and inclusion training within the last few years should find my commentary sufficient to answer the questions without having to click the highlighted words and terms for further information. If so, you could complete the whole programme in about an hour. For others, it will take a bit longer as you will take advantage of the additional materials within the programme.

I’ve mentioned already the programme is spilt into five modules. Each module must be completed and at least 5 of the 6 multiple choice questions answered correctly before you can progress to the next module.

Each module follows much the same format with an overview of the topic in question and what this means in practice within housing. In most modules this will be followed by at least one acted scenario and it is often the actors who will ask you the multiple choice questions.

Although some of the scenes may appear a bit extreme, or have a comedy edge to them, they also have a serious message and are based on real life housing related scenarios.
